Beeswax candles - how are they different.
Beeswax is a fully natural product without any additional materials. It is sustainable and ecologically friendly. We use only 100% pure beeswax in our candles and only all-natural colouring.
Beeswax is made to store honey. It’s collection is not abuse or animal cruelty - in fact, the honey bee (the worlds most important pollinator) can no longer survive on it’s own in the temperate regions of the world. Beekeeping is vital to their continued existence, which again is vital to our own.
Beeswax burns slower and at a higher temperature than other candle materials. Up to twice the burn time of some paraffins. They are an excellent source of heat as well as long lasting.
Beeswax is hypoallergenic. It contains few, if any, pathogens and no known allergenics. They are better tolerated by people with respiratory problems.
Beeswax is naturally scented. No need for either synthetic or essential oils to provide a soothing and welcoming natural honey scent in your home.
Beeswax burns at a higher temperature and smoke and soot less than other candle materials. If burned correctly they should not leave soot on walls and ceilings.
Beeswax does not contain oils and does not leave stains in case of dripping. The wax can be easily removed with a paper towel pressed down with a hot iron.
Beeswax emits more light than other candle materials. The light is yellow, in a similar place on the light spectrum as sunlight. As opposed to bluer flames, the yellow in the beeswax flame does not cause neurological stimulation and ensuing sleep disturbances.
Beeswax is more costly than other candle materials which are either made from fossil fuels or as a byproduct of industrial farming and agriculture (causing soil erosion and deforestation). Instead the wax is made, drop by tiny drop, by living hardworking beings. It is one of the most precious gifts of nature and should be valued as such. Respect nature - thank the bees.
